These are difficult times; no doubt.  Palmer, Wasilla, nor Anchorage is immune from the financial crisis facing our country.  I am writing to you about what some people feel is an embarrassing situation. Right now we are in the midst of economic turmoil and this is affecting folks in different ways. You’ve no doubt seen the reports of the rise in foreclosures. What is most shocking to me is that most of the folks who have lost their homes to foreclosure, received no professional intervention whatsoever. Often times they talked to their bank, realtor, or attorney, and they were basically told there is nothing that can be done. The truth is there are options; options that need to be considered as soon as possible. The ramifications of foreclosure are huge and long-term and often can be avoided.
