Almost 3 weeks ago our Governor was selected as the Republican Vice Presidential candidate. Regardless of who will get your vote in November, all of the media attention is terrific for our state and the Mat Su Valley on a macro scale. I know it seems invasive to most of us to have the media spotlight on our town, but when you consider the big picture, there is more to be gained than lost. From the possibilities of more oil field exploration, gas leases, drilling possibilities, increases in revenue related to the influx of media, and potential stability in real estate values at a faster pace, the positives tip the scale. I will certainly be watching our real estate statistics closely and reporting to all of you any changes that I see happening.
